The social practice team of Chemical engineering College of Wuhan University of Technology in the summer of 2007, consisting of 10 people, led by Zhang Yuejin and Chen Yulin, went to many central cities in Central China, such as Wuhan City, Xiaogan, Hubei Province, Hengyang, Hunan Province, and visited Hengyang Jianheng Industrial Co., Ltd., Beijing Yanjing Brewery (Hengyang) Co., Ltd., Hengyang Nanyue Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and other large enterprises, Successfully completed the research on the current status of urban sewage treatment. In order to ensure the smooth progress of this research activity, all members of the summer social practice team of the School of Chemical Engineering used various tools such as the library and the internet to collect relevant information, conduct learning and discussions, and were fortunate enough to invite renowned national sewage treatment experts, Professor Yang Honggang from the School of Resources and Environment, and Professor Wei Ming from the School of Chemical Engineering to provide centralized training for the practice team members, providing detailed explanations on the basic technical issues of this social practice. With the joint efforts of everyone, we have successfully completed the formulation of this social practice plan and started the on-site investigation and research phase on July 20, 2007.
